indieWIRE rolls out blogs
I may be mistaken, but it appears that indieWIRE, the best website about the independent film business, is adopting blogs in hopes of decentralizing their newsgathering process. At blogs.indiewire.com, they've created an invitation-only blogging community for indieWIRE staff, contributors, and film industry participants. They'll then be hand-picking the best posts to replace the news pointers that are on indiewire.com and in their daily email newsletter. It will be interesting to see if this works. Especially because there are several participants involved who already have blogs of their own. I think it's a good move for indieWIRE, and it could help personalize a small chunk of the indie film industry.
