Nick Denton's launched a new media property, called Wonkette, which completely satisfies my new found lust for political gossip and humor. This will hopefully satisfy my urge to watch The Daily Show, which I can never ever seem to catch.
At a Dean rally in Iowa, I did see Stephen Colbert, whom, by the way, was surrounded by every 12-16 year old boy in attendance. To cut through the crowd of autograph seeking boys, I told him I was making a documentary on the history of mockumentary interview techniques and their application in the political domain, and that I'd be shooting in the fall in NYC. I was just looking for a laugh, but Colbert told me he was interested and gave me his email.
