Some interesting data regarding U.S. Television Broadcasters:
-- The top two investment categories in 2003 are workstations (44% plan to
buy) and video editing software (34% plan to buy).
-- 70% of all stations/networks cited finding qualified employees as the
#2 business challenge in 2003 -- especially engineering/technical and
sales people.
-- 27% of all stations/networks plan to buy DV editing systems -- 18% plan
to buy high-end systems.
-- 73% of all stations/networks receive work from clients in analog video
format -- 60% receive BetaCam SP format.

Also:
-- 31% of all stations/networks broadcast DTV now -- 23% plan this by
mid-2003.
-- Only 9% of broadcast stations and 21% of networks plan to produce HDTV
programming -- half plan to produce special events in HD.
-- 60% of all stations/networks expect satellite TV networks and 49%
expect personal video recorders to have a negative impact on their
business in 2004.
